Eclimo e-bikes

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 12, 2011): Eclimo is set to unveil its range of electric powered two-wheelers for Malaysian riders on Feb 24.

For its sales launch, after the amendments to the Road Transport Act Bill has been gazetted this year, three Eclimo models will hit the roads.

Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Peter Chin Fah Kui has graciously agreed to unveil the maiden three Malaysian-made electric two-wheelers that are set to blaze the roads.

The e-bikes are set to create history as Malaysia’s pioneering lithium-ion battery powered two-wheelers, as opposed to the cheaper but highly toxic lead acid batteries used in China and other electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers.

As Eclimo continues with its intensive Research and Development (R&D) activities into advancing the performance of its lithium-ion batteries, the three models will
challenge the performance of the fossil fuel-powered motorcycles in the 100cc, 125cc and 250cc classes.

Eclimo’s e-bikes will be cleaner and friendlier to the environment and at the same time provide smoother and quieter rides. Eclimo’s two-wheelers are fitted with its exclusive in-wheelmotor technology. There are no chains and engines.

The models to be unveiled and marketed later are the ES810,ES812 and EB725.
The ES810 and ES812 are scooters that perform up to and above the conventional 100cc and 125cc motorcycles that are currently on the roads.

For riders who yearn for big power and big bikes, the EB725 delivers the performance of 250cc motorcycles.
